The Gold Cube 3 Stack Deluxe Kit with Trommel and Nugget Zone Highbanker is the complete three-stage Gold Cube setup for prospectors who want to shovel raw dirt and walk away with a cup of concentrates. The trommel on top classifies to 3/16 inch and washes material as you feed it, the 3 Stack Deluxe below pulls fine and flour gold into its vortex trays at up to 1,000 pounds an hour, and the Nugget Zone highbanker catches the pickers and small nuggets that a fine-gold machine was never designed to hold. Creek and bench prospectors who were splitting the day between a classifier bucket and the sluice buy this bundle so one person can keep the feed going all day.

What's Included with the Gold Cube 3 Stack Deluxe Trommel Bundle

    • Gold Cube 3 Stack Deluxe Complete Kit: one slick plate, two separator trays, stand, 12V pump, hose, and hose adapters
    • Gold Cube Trommel with adjustable pitch, low-energy 12V gear motor, 3/16-inch punch plate, mounting hardware, and drilling template
    • Gold Cube Nugget Zone Highbanker: collapsible sluice, stand attachments, 1100 GPH 12V submersible pump, hose, and instructions

Why Prospectors Run the 3 Stack with Trommel and Nugget Zone

    • No hand-classifying: raw material up to 3/16 inch passes straight through the trommel into the cube, so the day is spent on the shovel instead of over a bucket screen
    • Fine and coarse gold in one pass: the 3 Stack's Active Vortex trays hold flour gold, and the Nugget Zone's own sluice takes the larger pieces before they ride over the top
    • Two independent pumps: the Nugget Zone ships with its own 1100 GPH pump, so you tune its flow for coarse gold without disturbing the flow the cube is already running well
    • Pack-in friendly: the Nugget Zone collapses for transport, the trommel unbolts when you want to run the cube bare, and everything runs on 12V from a deep-cycle battery
    • Cheaper as a bundle than buying the 3 Stack Deluxe, trommel, and Nugget Zone separately

Where This Bundle Earns Its Keep

Creek Claims with Mixed Fine and Coarse Gold

On ground that produces both flour gold and the occasional picker, a Gold Cube alone leaves the coarse fraction to chance. In this setup the trommel screens and washes the feed, the Nugget Zone pulls the heavy coarse material first, and the 3 Stack finishes the fines. Set the cube's stand at the water's edge, drop both pumps in the creek, and the whole chain runs from one battery. At the end of the day you carry home a coffee cup of super concentrates rather than buckets of black sand. For the cleanup step, see our Gold Cube concentrators and prospecting systems for the Golden Rule screens and Banjo pan that finish the cons.

    Reprocessing Stockpiled Concentrates and Tailings

Old tailing piles and stockpiled cons are where the trommel's adjustable pitch matters. Drop the pitch and clay-heavy material tumbles longer under the sprayers before it reaches the cube; raise it and light gravel moves through fast. Because the cube can recycle water from a tub, you can run this bundle in the driveway on material hauled home from the claim. Prospectors who also swing a detector on the same ground will find the rest of their kit in our gold prospecting equipment collection.

How the 3 Stack Bundle Compares to the 4 Stack Bundle

The only difference between the two bundles is the cube. The trommel and Nugget Zone are identical.

Do I need a battery or power supply to run this bundle?

Yes, and it's not included. Everything in the kit runs on 12V DC: the cube's pump, the trommel's gear motor, and the Nugget Zone's 1100 GPH pump. Most customers run a deep-cycle marine battery at the water's edge; a group 24 or 27 battery covers a full day with both pumps and the trommel motor going. If you want to run the cube at home from a tub, Gold Cube sells a separate 120V wall power supply, but that's a different configuration from this field bundle. Everything else you need to get running is in our Gold Cube concentrators and prospecting systems collection.

Should I buy the 3 Stack or the 4 Stack version of this bundle?

It depends on how flat your gold is. The 3 Stack (one slick plate, two separator trays) handles chunky to moderately fine gold and is a few pounds lighter to pack in. The 4 Stack adds a third separator tray, which matters when your ground produces very flat "glitter" gold that rides water surface tension and needs an extra stage to drop out. If you're close to the source and the gold is rounded, the 3 Stack is the better buy. If you're working glacial or beach material with paper-thin flakes, step up to the Gold Cube 4 Stack Deluxe kit with trommel and Nugget Zone.

Does the trommel replace the need to classify material by hand?

For most ground, yes. The trommel's 3/16-inch punch plate screens raw dirt continuously as you shovel it in, and the hopper and barrel sprayers wash the material on the way through, so the cube receives a clean, consistent feed. You'll still want to pull out fist-sized rocks before they go in the hopper, but the bucket-and-screen step that eats half a day is gone. The pitch adjuster lets you slow the barrel down for clay-heavy material or speed it up for loose gravel. The trommel is also sold on its own if you later add a second cube; see the Gold Cube trommel with adjustable pitch.

What does the Nugget Zone do that the Gold Cube doesn't?

The Gold Cube is a fine-gold machine: its vortex trays hold flour gold that most sluices flush out the back, but coarse pieces can ride over the top or never make it through the punch plate. The Nugget Zone is a collapsible highbanker that sits on its own stand attachments with its own pump and catches pickers and small nuggets before they get away. Running both means the coarse and fine fractions are each handled by the tool built for them. It's also sold separately as the Gold Cube Nugget Zone highbanker if you already own a cube.

    Answered by John W. · September 2026

Can I run the Gold Cube without a creek, recycling water from a tub?

Yes. The cube's pump can draw from a tub instead of a creek, and the water recirculates, so you can process stockpiled concentrates or hauled-home paydirt in the driveway. Plan on a 30-gallon or larger tub so the fines have time to settle and the pump isn't pulling silt. The Nugget Zone's pump works the same way. Prospectors who run this bundle at home usually pair it with a set of Golden Rule classifier screens for the final cleanup; browse those and other cleanup tools in our gold prospecting equipment collection.

    Answered by Dan P. · September 2026

How much does the full bundle weigh to pack in?

The Gold Cube 3 Stack itself is the heaviest single piece, in the mid-20-pound range with its trays and stand, and it breaks down into the stand, the tray stack, and the pump. The Nugget Zone ships at roughly 16 pounds and collapses flat. The trommel adds its barrel, hopper, and motor. Figure on two trips from the truck for one person, or one trip for two, plus a battery. Because the trommel unbolts and the Nugget Zone collapses, most owners leave the accessories in the truck on days they only need the cube. Compare the individual pieces in the Gold Cube 3 Stack Deluxe Complete Kit listing.
