Why Add the PRO-FIND 40

Once the ELITE gives you a target, the PRO-FIND 40 gets it out of the hole fast. Its ferrous tone tells you whether the object in the plug is iron before you dig further, its five sensitivity levels let you turn it down in mineralized ground, and its 10 ft waterproof rating means it goes in the water with the detector. Field Use

Parks and Sports Fields

Park 1 with 5 Tones or All Tones and Iron Bias at 1 or 2 keeps modern trash sorted. Clad coins cluster in the high 70s to 90s; pull tabs and can slaw scatter through the 40s and 50s. Let the PRO-FIND 40 find the coin in the plug so the hole stays small.

Farm Fields and Relic Sites

Field mode is tuned for mineralized soil and mixed iron. Drop Iron Bias to 0 or –1 to hear masked non-ferrous targets beside nails, and use tracking ground balance on ground that changes across the field. The pinpointer's ferrous tone saves you from chasing every nail to the bottom of the hole.

Beach, Wet Sand and Shallow Water

Beach 1 for dry and wet sand, Beach 2 in the water. Multi-IQ handles salt where single-frequency machines fall apart, the IP68 rating covers wading to 16 ft and the PRO-FIND 40 is waterproof to 10 ft, so the whole kit goes in. Pair it with a sand scoop.
